Spark some holiday cheer at these upcoming celebrations: Caroline Christmas Light Up On-ice activities, sleigh rides and fireworks. November 30 on Main Street Lacombe Light Up the Night Winter Festival Fireworks, free movies, a Santa Claus Parade and a tree-lighting ceremony. November 28–30 Been longing to settle a score by pelting someone with snowballs? The Japanese sport of Yukigassen, which made its Alberta debut two years ago at Fort Edmonton Park, is basically an organized snowball fight for adults. Teams of seven lob snowballs – an arsenal of 90 per period – while dodging an incoming barrage in hopes of capturing the other team's flag. This year, the national championships, dubbed the Canadian Rockies Snow Battle, go down in Jasper November 23–24.
