I'm ashamed to say that even though I've
lived in Edmonton my whole life I've never
been to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage
Village. It was my 10 year old son who
pointed out the sod house in Westworld and
begged me to take him there. We went last
week and had an amazing time. e staff
there were knowledgeable and friendly.
We'll definitely be back again. We even used
our AMA card.
MEMBER JEAN MORIN:
It's the Ukrainian issue. First you had the
article about the Babas and Borsch festival
and then the Ukrainian sod house. I'm not
Ukrainian but thank you for recognizing the
contributions that many cultural groups
have made to building this great province
that we live in. I can't imagine how hard it
would have been living in a grass house in
the middle of winter. Love your magazine.

e sod house looks like a little hobbit house
from Lord of the Rings.

One of the good things about staying at a
resort is that you rarely have to open up your
wallet. I couldn't tell you the last time I
bought a travellers cheque. I lock up cash in
the room safe and use plastic whenever I can,
especially for larger purchases.
