UNLEASH YOUR INNER ARTIST Get out of the house and into your right brain at Paint Nite, where cocktails and colour combine to create a stress-free adult experience in creativity. A worldwide phenomenon, Paint Nite events are held at bars and cafés in Edmonton, Calgary, and smaller centres, with local experts guiding you in creating your own version of a par- ticular painting over the course of two hours. No experience is necessary, all supplies are included (yes, they provide a smock) and by the end of the night, you'll have a 40-by-50 centimetre acrylic masterpiece to take home and show off – or laugh about later. paintnite.com –R.S. Appetite Week will feature beer, whiskey and wine tastings, plus a chili cook-off and taste-testing at various restaurants. The final few days during Arts Week feature artists display- ing their wares at a street party with other vendors and performers. jasperinjanuary.travel –C.B.
